Paralyzable Drosophila (fruit fly)
Fruit flies were the original organism used to study genetics and are an important tool used in research. Scihigh has access to a number of different strains of flies with different mutations. Depending on what we have available we will bring a selection of flies to deliver a presentation focussing on the importance of these organisms in research and genetics. This presentation pairs well with our other animal models (GFP mice and worms).
